External Data Analysis

You already have the data.
Now get the insight.

Upload a CSV from any tool — Typeform, Google Sheets, SurveyMonkey, your CRM — and Feedal's AI runs the same deep analysis on your historical feedback as it does on live responses.

  • Any CSV, any format, any source
  • Results in under 60 seconds
  • No manual tagging or setup
✦ How it works

From spreadsheet to insight in four steps.

Export your data from wherever it lives. Drop it in. Feedal handles the rest — no data wrangling, no tagging, no configuration needed.

  1. Export from your tool
Download a CSV from Typeform, Google Sheets, SurveyMonkey, Jotform, your CRM, or your support platform. If it has a text column with feedback in it, Feedal can analyse it.
  2. Feedal reads your columns
Feedal auto-detects your column types — response text, scores, dates, IDs. No manual mapping needed. It identifies which columns contain feedback worth analysing and ignores the rest.
  3. AI processes every row
Every row goes through the same AI pipeline used on live responses — sentiment scoring, topic clustering, urgency detection, churn risk flagging. At any scale. Thousands of rows in seconds.
  4. Summary, themes, and trends
You get a full AI insight report — sentiment breakdown, top themes, trend lines over time, flagged responses, and a plain-English summary with recommended actions. All from data you already owned.
✦ Compatible sources

If it exports a CSV, Feedal can analyse it.

You don't need to switch tools, rebuild your workflow, or re-collect data. Wherever your feedback lives right now — Feedal can read it.

Google Sheets

Export any feedback or survey sheet as CSV. Works with Google Forms exports too — even if responses are split across multiple columns.

Typeform

Export your Typeform results as CSV and drop them straight into Feedal. Works with open-text questions, NPS scores, rating fields, and multi-select answers.

SurveyMonkey

Export your SurveyMonkey responses as CSV. Feedal handles their default export format — including multi-column layouts — without any reformatting on your end.

Jotform & Excel

Export your Jotform submissions or open up an Excel spreadsheet. Save as CSV and upload directly. If it has a feedback column, Feedal can work with it.

Support tickets

Export your Zendesk, Intercom, or Freshdesk tickets as CSV. Feedal analyses the ticket body text — surfacing recurring issues and urgency patterns you'd never spot manually.

CRM & custom tools

Any internal database, CRM, or custom tool that lets you export rows with a feedback text column. If you can see it in a spreadsheet, Feedal can analyse it.

Shopify & e-commerce

Export product reviews, post-purchase survey responses, or customer notes from your store. Upload and instantly understand what's driving ratings — by product, by period, by sentiment.

App store reviews

Export review data from app stores or review platforms. Feedal clusters themes across hundreds of reviews and surfaces the issues users care about most.

✦ What you get back

Not a chart. A clear picture.

Most tools show you a bar chart of your ratings. Feedal tells you what your customers actually mean — the themes behind the scores, the language patterns behind the numbers, and what to do about it.

  • Sentiment breakdown across all responses — positive, neutral, negative with scores
  • Top themes ranked by volume and sentiment — what people keep mentioning and how they feel about it
  • Trend lines over time — how sentiment and themes shifted across your data period
  • Flagged responses — high-priority, churn-risk, and urgent feedback pulled to the top
  • Plain-English AI summary — the story behind your data, written for humans, not analysts
  • Recommended next actions — specific steps your team should take, based on what the AI found
✦ Who uses it

For every team sitting on feedback they haven't read yet.

Most teams have months or years of customer feedback they've never had the time to analyse properly. External Data Analysis changes that — instantly.

CX and research teams

Upload a year of NPS exports and get the full picture in minutes — sentiment trends, what drove scores up or down each quarter, and the specific themes your customers keep raising. No analyst required.

Product teams

Drop in feedback from old user interviews, beta surveys, or feature request forms. Find out what actually matters to users — ranked by volume, urgency, and sentiment — not just what was loudest in Slack.

Researchers and academics

Upload qualitative survey responses, interview transcripts, or open-ended questionnaires. Feedal codes themes and clusters sentiment automatically — the same work that used to take days of manual tagging.

E-commerce teams

Export product reviews, post-purchase surveys, or customer service notes. Upload and instantly see what's driving ratings, what's improving, and where your biggest retention risk lies right now.

FAQ

Questions about External Data Analysis.

Everything you need to know before you upload.

What file formats does Feedal accept? +
Feedal accepts CSV files from any source. If your data is in Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, or any other tool, simply export or save as .CSV and upload. As long as there's a column containing text feedback, Feedal can analyse it.
Do I need to format my CSV in a specific way? +
No. Feedal auto-detects your column types — it identifies which columns contain feedback text, which contain numeric scores, and which contain dates. You don't need to rename columns, reorder anything, or do any manual mapping before uploading.
How many rows can I upload at once? +
Free plan users can upload up to 500 rows per file. Paid plans support larger uploads — Growth plan allows up to 10,000 rows, and Scale plan supports unlimited rows. Even large files with thousands of rows are typically processed in under two minutes.
Can I upload data from multiple time periods and compare them? +
Yes. If your CSV includes a date column, Feedal detects it and generates trend analysis across time periods. You'll see how sentiment and themes shifted month-by-month or quarter-by-quarter — directly from your upload. You can also upload multiple files and compare results side by side.
Is my uploaded data secure and private? +
Yes. All uploaded data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Feedal never sells, shares, or uses your data to train models. Your data is stored in your account only and can be deleted at any time from your settings. Feedal is GDPR-compliant.
Can I export the analysis results? +
Yes. You can export the full insight report — including sentiment breakdown, top themes, flagged responses, and AI summary — as PDF or CSV. This makes it easy to share findings with stakeholders who don't have a Feedal account.
